Connex Education are currently supporting a large academy in North Nottingham, who are recruiting for a behaviour support specialist or experienced teaching assistant to work across their academy to support students in the class and on a 1:1 basis.
We have positions starting from September that are either flexible, day to day, long term or short term. We often find that permanent opportunities arise working with these schools to support the challenging students, so this role is perfect for anyone seeking a permanent opportunity.
This role will have you working with a number of students across the school who need extra support in the classroom and also on a 1:1 basis. It’s likely you will be required to support within the schools inclusion facility also so experience with challenging behaviour will be desirable.
The ideal candidate:
Experience working within an Education setting is desirable, however experience working with young people within a support setting will also be considered
The ideal candidate will have a background in either of the following: Challenging SEN Provisions, Youth/ Community/ Social services, Residential Support, Ex Military/Police/ Prison/ security services or Mental Health Support Services (including CRISIS or Suicide prevention)
Experience supporting SEN including Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Attachment Disorder, SEMH, Aggression.
Would have a Clear Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (we can provide you with details on how to start a new application)
