KS1 and KS2 tutors required for NTP

Connex Education are currently recruiting for KS1 and KS2 tutors to work within a lovely primary school in Halifax.

The school need tutors for all year groups Y1 to Y6, each tutor working with your own specific year group.
You will be working on a 1:3 basis each day, teaching Reading, using Better Reading. Training can be given on this if required.
The school would like you to work 3 full days each week, having 5 sessions each day.

This role is to start at Easter and will run until Summer 2021.

Tutoring plays a vital role in allowing children to catch up and bridge the gap created by recent school closures. It is essential that you have QTS and experience teaching either KS1, or KS2. Experience teaching intervention groups particularly around SATs is desirable.

This is an exciting role for any teacher to make a difference to a child’s life and see the impact 1-1 or small group tutoring can have on a child.

As a successful teacher you will possess;

– QTS or equivalent, and have recent experience in teaching and/or tutoring
– Good knowledge of the English curriculum
– Be able to explain key concepts fluently and accurately
– Be prepared to tutor face to face
– The ability to work to the school’s scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback
– Good time management to fully utilize the sessions
