Connex Education are working with a specialist SEN academy, based in Nottingham, who are seeking a full time Science teacher on a permanent basis. The academy are looking for a dedicated and ambitious teacher to join their team from September, and are holding interviews ASAP.
The school itself is apart of a trust of schools, which are SEND and Alternative Provision and have a number of opportunities across there schools. Due to having a wider network to support, the academy is able to offer fantastic support and development opportunities to their teachers, giving you the chance to move up within your career if desired.
The academy is based in North Nottingham and is very easily accessible via public transport or car and have local bus stops/tram stops nearby.
As the successful teacher you will possess the following:
– Hold QTS and have relevant experience teaching Science across KS2 – KS4
– Experience working with students with special educational needs
– Experience working with vulnerable students and families
– Commitment and ambition to ensure all students secure the highest education possible
– Passion for working with students with special educational needs
– Experience with non-verbal students would be highly desirable but not essential
– Holding a Team teach and/or BSL qualification would be desirable but again not essential
