As a Teaching Assistant you are responsible for supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students under the direction of a class Teacher.
If you have been a Teaching Assistant previously where you have faced challenges within the classroom and made a positive impact in child’s life and looking to replicate the success this is for you.
As Teaching Assistant your role is to support those students who need additional support including SEND and those who are behind the national average.
– Your main role as a Teaching Assistant is to provide support to the teacher by aiding students to ensure the flow of Teaching is continuous.
– In some instances, you may be a key worker for a child providing one to one support.
– Prior experience in supporting the de-escalation and awareness of sensory stimulation is preferred.
– You will also support the preparation of materials and class set up for a successful learning session.
Joining the Team.
You should have an NVQ LEVEL 2 or higher relating to working with young people or experience in similar roles. We will also provide New Starter courses including Safeguarding, Higher Performing Teaching Assistants and Re-engaging reluctant Learners.
We have Level three, two and one including Higher Level Teaching Assistant teams. The Higher level will allow you to take on extra responsibilities including leading sessions, attending parent meetings, developing planning.

– Pay is a week in-hand.
– Term Time only Contract
– Flexibility to support other schools, increase and decrease hours.
Working with Connex Education Partnership you will be on a contract for services, often dependant on such factors of Student attendance and funding. This will be on a weekly rolling basis.
