Teaching Assistant – Coventry
We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant for a SEND provision in Coventry. The school is considered an although provision with access to further education for students aged 16+. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, inclusive and supportive class team.
Prior experience promoting positive behaviour and de-escalation training such as MAPA or Team Teach is preferred but not essential. Due to the nature of the role personal care may be required.
The role considered fulltime (Monday to Friday 8:15 – 15:30) due to start September 2021 on a rolling contract. This is a great opportunity for those seeking to work in a supportive developing team. The School is keen to promote progress and grow the team within.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
– Assist the Teaching in delivery of lesson including working 1-1 where required.
– Support the creation and implementation of resources.
– Be a Key Worker for a child completing an achievement diary with them and sharing information with home.
– Build good rapport with colleagues, parents and students to support academic success in the classroom.
– Relevant experience or Qualifications
– Right to work in the UK
– Valid DBS (Child Work Force)
– Available Fulltime
